Surviving a plague
Since the pandemic, there are a lot of discussions about the phenomenon of Long Covid. It seems to be a post-viral syndrome (as we know occurs with Epstein-Barr and other viruses). I claim no medical expertise so I can’t weigh in on the nature of the disease.
What I have read is that covid, unlike other viruses, can attack organs beyond the lungs. Which was something I thought about this week as I was reading The Plague and I by Betty MacDonald.
